Holy Cross Hospital was established in 1875 by the Catholic Sisters of the Holy Cross. In October 1993, the Sisters of the Holy Cross announced that they were selling all of the Holy Cross Health Care facilities in Utah to a for-profit, secular hospital corporation, Health Trust Inc.
